We are so excited to introduce the new QR Check-In Mode for Qwickly Attendance Plus and Qwickly Attendance Pro licensees! We have been working on developing the most seamless way for instructors to take attendance for the last couple years and we finally have it.

How does it work?

QR Check-In allows instructors to take attendance by projecting a QR code from their screen for students to scan. Once a student scans the code, they will receive a message on their device letting them know they have been checked into class.

Once the instructor has their session open, students will scan the QR code with their phones as they come into class. Students will need to have the Qwickly Attendance app downloaded on their device in order to scan the QR code. You’ll notice that the QR code the instructor displays changes every few seconds - this is an extra security measure we have added to discourage code sharing. Once students have successfully scanned the code, they will receive a message on their phones letting them know that they are checked into class.

An attendance check in session will end automatically when the timer runs out. An instructor can also end the check in session early by clicking end session.
